    Aptuit, and Evotec  Company in VERONA is a worldwide Contract Research Organization, collaborating with all the major Pharma and Biotech companies in support of various drug discovery and development projects.To efficiently support on going activities, for our Site Services Management Department, our organization is looking for the


    Project and Facility Manager


    he/she is in charge of the supervision of group of employees and external contractors, in the construction, repair and maintenance of general plant equipment and facilities (HS, Hard Services) in a Pharmaceutical site. Actively manages the site’s energy consumption and proposes/coordinates efficiency improvement initiatives.
    Work is of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general practices, policies, standards and budgets. It requires the use of independent judgment, collaboration with other key functions (internal clients, QA, “EHS, Environment, Health & Safety”, IT) and it may involve training others.



    • Defines, manages and monitors the preventive, reactive and adaptive maintenance of site’s facilities and general plants (HS), in line with company standards and applicable legislations;
    • Manages projects for the improvement or extra-ordinary maintenance of general plants and facilities;
    • Primary point of contact and coordination with external contractors/companies operating on site, also for EHS matters (required DM81/08 training);
    • Oversees site’s energy consumption, associated supply contract/service levels and efficiency improvement initiatives;
    • Contributes to the Facility Master plan of future/required investments to maintain the site/plants operational and in compliance with applicable legislations;
    • Maintains required facilities and plant equipment documentation and records;
    • Liaises with QA and takes responsibility for CAPAs related to general plants and facilities;
    • Conducts appropriate checks (including structural building and plant assessments) and communicates evaluation of results;
    • Provides expert technical depth and troubleshooting to the facility and utilities equipment;
    • Provides technical support for specific plant operations or projects, in the areas of pharmaceutical development and manufacturing (including for example lab interior finish, piping, HVAC, qualifications).


    • Strong technical knowledge in facilities disciplines in Pharmaceutical plants and related technical regulations/legislations;
    • Strong knowledge and ability to implement engineering solutions in accordance with Good Engineering Practices, and in general with current Good Manufacturing and Laboratory Practices (cGMP/cGLPs);
    • Knowledge and experience with energy management and efficiency improvements on industrial plants.


    • Demonstrated excellent level of analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members, customers and suppliers to solve problems and resolve issues;
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and difficult projects and assignments with high level of autonomy and accountability for results;
    • Demonstrated initiative by reaching beyond work assigned to improve output and/or help others;
    • Proven ability in project management skills;
    • Proven ability in use of CAD, BMS and CMMS (optional) software;
    • Good written and verbal English skills.


    • Electrical or Chemical Engineering degree, or equivalent training/experience;
    • 5 years of related experience in regulated process-based industries, including experience successfully leading cross functional teams.
